After a big day of play with Granny and Papaw, Caroline had to take a snooze!

Tomorrow will be a big day for Caroline - she goes to the doctor to get weighed then gets to go with Mommy to the doctor for her check up. Somebody gonna be weally, weally tired tomorrow afternoon. Good thing I'm going over after work, Caroline may need a good rocking!

Busy Day For Caroline

Resting with Daddy

Yesterday was a huge day for Caroline, she went on her first road trip! Mommy had cabin fever from being cooped up for days so we decided to get out and go to the doctor's office to get papers signed. The trip was pretty uneventful as Caroline slept the whole way up and the whole way back! We made a pit stop at Nan and Bep's house then came home. Not long after we  got home, company came a callin! Mommy's friends from school dropped by to see Caroline. Mrs. Amanda, Mrs. Chrissy and her son Andrew, who is a student of Mommy's, and Granny and Papaw. Then Amanda and Allen brought pizza, which was very delish.

Little Bird Gets a Bath

Today started off wonderfully well. We had a nice breakfast of biscuits and sausage and after everyone got full, Caroline was treated to her first bird bath. She was perfect, not one little mew. Mommy sponged her from head to toe and she loved it. After a brisk dry-off and lotion rub down, she got dressed for the day, complete with hat and socks. It was back to sleep again to rest up for the next feed. She is doing so well with her feeding and sleeping! I can't believe tomorrow she will be a week old... this is going waaay to fast!

Papaw and the Pillow Princess

Granny and Papaw came over Monday morning to see Caroline. Papaw put the Princess on a pillow and kept her entertained while Mommy got ready to take Caroline to her first weigh in! Dr. Fakouri said Caroline was perfect in every way and has gained 4 ounces. Good job Mommy and Caroline! The doctor also gave some great advice for Mommy - REST, REST, and more rest! And I agree. Therefore I proclaim today as Rest Day at Windy Hills. Mommy and Caroline are ordered to stay in their pj's all day....and I just may do the same!
